This little painting was my first retro, rainbow striped venture that kicked off a desire to recreate graphic images swirling around in my childhood memories of growing up in the 70's and 80's. The colored stripes are made from layers of encaustic (wax) paint and are slightly raised off the wood background that has a thin coat of clear encaustic medium.
Edges are left natural with a coat of Minwax
